Orlando Florida 4-Year-old Shoots Himself - Charges Uncertain

  1. Sounds to me like they made the right decision regarding whether to charge the mother. I can but hope that they are just holding their cards close in not talking about the owner of the car. Likely trying to determine exactly what the charges will be.
The NRA certified instructor gave a clear concise description of the state law including that there is a safe storage law in place and the legality being determined on whether the owner has a carry permit.
Minnesota's law is actually similar. A loaded firearm can be in my vehicle as long as I'm in control of the vehicle since I have a permit. If I give the keys to a non-permit holder, the firearm has to be cased and unloaded.

    1. The owner of the car should be in the slammer while they sort out those details. I agree it wasn't the mom's fault.

    2. Sorry Mike, we have this thing here called the 36 hour rule in which precharge detention has been defined be several court decisions. If he had been arrested immediately, he would likely have been released by now.

  2. Another idiot gun loon's negligence. They think a car is a safe place to keep a gun. Oh, that's right, so does SS.

    1. Did you watch the video Sammy? The mother wasn't the owner of either the car or the firearm and had no knowlege of the presence of it. Where exactly did I suggest it was ok?

    2. Yes I did watch the video smart ass. Did I blame the mother? NO! Another one of your lies. I blame the idiot who left the gun in the (a place you said was a great place to keep a gun) car, loaded. Then without thinking lent that car to a mother and child. One of your own kind, a gun loon. I await your next lie.
