Four Dead in Brooklyn - Triple Murder-Suicide

Los Angeles Times

Three men, including two members of a Brooklyn rock band, are dead after a fellow musician shot them to death in their East Williamsburg apartments before turning the gun on himself, according to various news reports in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal.
Quoting a law enforcement official, the Wall Street Journal said that the musician, a onetime affiliate of the band, used a .308-caliber rifle as he moved from floor to floor of the apartment building to find and shoot members of the Yellow Dogs. According to the New York Times, he also killed a third man and wounded another in the rampage, the article said.
The gunman's body was found on the roof of the building, with the rifle nearby, according to the WSJ article.

  1. "Rafie's body was found on the roof of the building. Law enforcement officials say he shot himself in the chin, and the .308-caliber assault rifle used in the slayings was found next to his body. It wasn't clear how many shots had been fired. "

Guess the SAFE ACT still has a few bugs in it...

  2. And?

A friend/associate who knows you and decides to kill you is going to succeed every time. It would not matter at all if no one had ever invented firearms. A hammer to the back of the skull is easy and effective. Or how about putting poison in their food or drink? A large rock to the head? A knife slash to the jugular vein or carotid artery is quite easy and effective. Or how about a guitar string (wire) attached to two wooden handles (garrote wire) suddenly slipped over the "friend's" head from behind and quickly tightened. (That technique almost instantly severs several veins and arteries.) Of course short swords are horrendously effective on unsuspecting victims who do not see an attack from behind. Or the "friend" could just supply drinks for his victim until his victim passes out and then casually suffocate him with a pillow ... although this is technically a variant on poisoning. Shall I continue demonstrating the myriad ways and weapons that an attacker can use?

Shall we ban rocks, hammers, guitar strings, knives, short swords, pillows, and all chemicals (poisons) to reduce assaults and murders while we are at it?

    1. Yeah, a hammer, right. This was in effect a workplace shooting in which the mentally ill disgruntled employee just happened to use a gun to kill several co-workers. He could have used anything, according to you, but by sheer chance he picked a gun.

  3. This was in New York City, one of the centers of repressive gun control. It's your fault, Mikeb.

    2. I don't have some burning desire to control others.

    3. Sure you do. Remember the statements of yours I posted? They scream controling others according to your morals, which I find lacking.

    4. "Steve," stop being an idiot. My comments consistently support individual liberties against groups and meddlesome persons who would seek to curtail our rights. If you leave me alone, you and I don't have a problem.

    5. Sure Greg, like the meddlesome group of open-carry idiots that gathered to intimidate the Mom's meeting the other day. You gun-rights fanatics are the ones who deny the rights of others. People have the right to be safe in their schools and shopping centers and movie theaters, but thanks to you fanatics they don't, they can't. Yet, it is one of their fundamental, Constitutionally guaranteed and god-given basic human rights. The founders whom your idolize called it "life, liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." But you don't give a fuck about that if it's gonna inconvenience you even a little bit with your gun obsession.

    6. Leave you alone? Sorry I quote you, but I see no other way to be fair about it. Those comments certainly do not support individual liberties. Maybe you should take each comment one by one and explain how each comment supports individual liberty.

    7. Mikeb, my having a gun does not violate any of your rights. You're not in danger because of me, unless you're trying to harm me.

"Steve," I see you're incapable of comprehending what you read. Take a class, and try again.

    8. I see you are unwilling to explain your comments. I don't blame you, your comments are unexplainable. You will have to continue to be known as the criminal of this blog.

    9. "Steve," this is the last time I respond to you until you can stop whining and engage in rational discourse. I'll be happy to address any comment you wish to link to one at a time. But if all you're going to do is take things out of context and spew lies, I have no time for you.

    10. What a dishonest jerk you are. I printed many of your comments and have asked many times that you address them, but NO! You treat everyone on this site like a jerk. Explain your context criminal! What are you waiting for, I've asked many times! Your words, not my lies!

  4. What a shame! These guys were undergound rock n rollers who lived out their dream of coming to NYC. Cultural heroes. It's ironic, my wife was just getting very deep lamenting the loss of another dirty New York City hippie, John Lennon. I would imagine that this loss is on a similar level to the Iranian-American community, as well as to the underground Iranian people still rocking out in the old country.

This video appears to be mostly girls dancing on the streets of NYC to their music. Some pretty sexy, Iranian-American girls, I might add. They might have just made a video to go with one of their favorite songs by "Yellow Dogs."
