Joe Biden's Most Absurd Comments

The Blaze has a list of Biden's five most absurd comments on the gun issue.  Here's my favorite.

“Just fire the shotgun through the door”

After giving his advice to go out and “buy a shotgun” rather than an AR-15, Biden issued, perhaps, his most controversial gun comment to date.

During an interview with Field and Stream, an outdoors magazine, the vice-president gave additional advice to those looking to protect themselves against would-be intruders: “Just fire the shotgun through the door.”

And, again, he said that most can ”handle a shotgun a hell of a lot better than they can a semi-automatic weapon.” Here’s a full transcript of his comments:
Well, the way in which we measure it is—I think most scholars would say—is that as long as you have a weapon sufficient to be able to provide your self-defense. I did one of these town-hall meetings on the Internet and one guy said, “Well, what happens when the end days come? What happens when there’s the earthquake? I live in California, and I have to protect myself.”

I said, “Well, you know, my shotgun will do better for you than your AR-15, because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door.” Most people can handle a shotgun a hell of a lot better than they can a semi-automatic weapon in terms of both their aim and in terms of their ability to deter people coming. We can argue whether that’s true or not, but it is no argument that, for example, a shotgun could do the same job of protecting you. Now, granted, you can come back and say, “Well, a machine gun could do a better job of protecting me.” No one’s arguing we should make machine guns legal.
But as we’ve noted, just shooting through a door isn’t necessarily the best foot forward in terms of ensuring self-protection.

  1. Why don't we see Dog Gone coming here to tell us how irresponsible Joe Biden is for recommending firing a gun at a target a person can't see?

But more importantly, Biden illustrates one glaring fact about gun control freaks. You people don't know what you're talking about, but you feel yourselves to be able to tell us what to do.

  3. The very same Vice President Joe Biden also led the task force to determine what to do about criminals using guns to harm people in our nation.

This guy not only gave unsafe advice, he gave potentially illegal advice.

This is why I do not trust "government" to provide for my personal security ... and neither should you.

  4. Biden says all this stupid and illegal shit, but he gets to brag about the stupid and ineffective '94 AWB, and he got to lead the panel to decide what to do after Newtown.

McCarthy demands AWB's, but can't even tell you what the features are that she wants banned, or why she wants them banned--need proof: go to youtube and search for "Shoulder thing that Goes Up."

DeGette demands magazine capacity bans and states that once the currently owned magazines are used, we'll be done with them--as if they're single use items.

Feinstein still claims that we need to ban pistol grips because they facilitate "firing from the hip"--something manifestly false.

With some time, we could probably find many more--including the California (I Think) counsel-woman or legislator who talked about .50 caliber Heat Seeking Rounds.

Your side bill themselves as experts, tell us what we need, what we don't need, and what we certainly shouldn't be allowed to have. All the while, as they make these lists and pontificate about them, they show that they are totally full of it and have no idea what they're talking about.

But you and your cohorts swallow their BS hook, line, and sinker, parroting it, or making up you own ill-informed arguments.

Frankly, even if there were no right to keep and bear arms, these laws and proposals ought to be opposed based on the general principles that dumbasses should be told to sit in the corner and not bother others with stupid and unfounded ideas.
